Walter Lindner (1936 - 2007) created wonderfully composed and graphic artworks with his unique techniques combining ink drawing, painting and gilding and monotype prints, created from painting on plates of glass. This broad culmination of multi-media attracted great attention, particularly in Berlin and Frankfurt, where he exhibited for more than 40 years. Lindner graduated from the State Academy of Fine Art and Berlin University of Arts in the 1950’s and his work can be found in collections around the world, especially Germany, United Kingdom and United States of America. Art collector, Simon Hearnden, discovered the work of this enigmatic Berlin artist whilst visiting him at his studio in 2006 and acquired as much work as he could. Together, Simon Hearndon and David Simon Contemporary manage the artist’s estate.
