Castle Cary is a beautiful Somerset market town, situated 1 hour South of Bath, halfway between Sherborne and Frome. Built of the golden ham stone from the local quarry, the buildings of the high street, some with thatched rooves, take you back in time several centuries. Our high street is proud to be independent, and offers around 45 shops including delis, bookshop, gifts, fashion, lingerie, food, fine art, crafts, antiques, greengrocers, florists, Post Office and bakers. We have a museum of country life housed in the Market House. Our weekly market happens on a Tuesday morning, from 9am -2pm.

Parking is FREE. We have a MAINLINE TRAIN STATION (5 stops from Paddington). We are 3 MILES from BRUTON, and Hauser and Wirth, and 1 MILE from THE NEWT IN SOMERSET.
