Sara Ingleby-MacKenzie

Sara Ingleby-Mackenzie is an internationally recognised sculptor, she was awarded The President’s Commendation Medal for Sculpture at the XIVth Florence Biennale in October 2023. In 2025 Sara has been Awarded International Artist of the year Award 2025 by the Effetto Arte Foundation for artistic value at the Pucci Palace in Florence. Sara has also been selected to win the Leonardo Da Vinci Universal Artist Award at the Leonardo Institute for Science and Technology in Milan with a presentation in June.

Sara Ingleby-MacKenzie is the winner of a Henry Moore Foundation Scholarship, she has been creating unique sculptures since graduating from the Bath Academy of Art with a first class honours degree in Sculpture and Printmaking.

Her figurative sculptures take a light-hearted view of society, exploring how in our image conscious world we wear sunglasses, go bare footed, teeter on impossible heels, and carry expensive handbags all for others to take note of. Sara has enjoyed the challenge of creating some new pieces inspired by Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway who turns 100 this year and whose concerns are as pertinent as ever.

Sara has undertaken numerous public, private and corporate commissions; examples include the Mayflower’s Edward Winslow stepping ashore on arrival in America for Droitwich Council, the OAG Airline of the Year Award and Diving with Dolphins for the Nordic Swimming Federation. Sara is currently working on a public sculpture based on the works of Sir Edward Elgar to be sited at Bromsgrove near Worcester.
