Myles Oxenford British, b. 1977

Overview

Myles Oxenford was born in 1977 in Plymouth and grew up in Scotland. He has a BA in Art from Falmouth College Of Art and has lived in Cornwall for over 15 years. His work has been shown in galleries throughout the U.K since 2000.

Myles lives and works in rural Cornwall where he explores the landscape and waterscapes of his surrounding environment. He also returns frequently to paint in Scotland, Wales and the Alps.

Myles says of his work:

"These are escapist paintings in many ways. They are not about the geography of the place but more about the atmosphere and emotional response. Playing with the compositions and light, making many layers to the painting, I hope to create something beyond a straightforward representation, that for me - is a true capturing."
